The Art House... for the pleasure and enjoyment of all
Opened in October 2001, and boasting an address that saddles between Pitt and George Street is the Art House.
The magnificent 1830's building formally the School of Arts now home to the Art House is an eclectic mix of four distinct areas for all to enjoy. And whether you taste in art is modern, renaissance, impressionist or pop-art the continual changing exhibitions are sure to impress.
From the Mitchell Room, previously a chapel and boasting 19 century 19th century plasterwork and skylights through to The Dome Restaurant and Bar with it's wondrous dome centerpiece, arched windows and cosmopolitan ambiance, there's something to suit every taste.
Matt Erby, Manager of the Art House describes the venue as "a space that enriches, promotes and allows a sense of chaos, humour and absurdity to permeate. A place to stimulate the senses".
Eleven IMB SurePOS terminals are installed to service customers in various service modes including fast bar, table and function service.
