In preparation for the 2006 Commonwealth Games, the MGC underwent a major expansion and retrofit. During the planning stages of the redevelopment, officials at the MCG set a goal of transforming the venue into one of the most technologically advanced stadia in the world. In completing the modernisation process a state-of-the-art Point of Sale (POS) solution was installed by InfoGenesis.
More than 400 IBM SurePOS touch screen terminals run InfoGenesis Revelation POS and Virtual Manager CMR applications to provide management with real-time access to information from all levels of the stadium's food and beverage operations.
A crucial component of the solution at the MCG is InfoGenesis' Virtual Manager event and customer relationship management application. It enables in-depth analysis of customer transactions at the terminal to provide real-time analysis of the business operation during an event.
Virtual Manager is an invaluable tool to assist managers with inventory and forecasting based on historical information such as type of event, attendance, as well as weather and seasonal factors. By seamlessly working with InfoGenesis POS, Virtual Manager adds tremendous value without adding additional overhead or maintenance.

"With a mature, yet state-of-the-art application, InfoGenesis delivers a tailored solution that meets the unique requirements of our event-based operation," says Clive Driscoll. "We have the tools to analyse events and make changes based on trends and successful promotions, thereby improving our customer satisfaction and bottom line."
