What's new in InfoGenesis POS 4.0?

Your POS systems will be operating on the latest technology platforms with an update of the application into a .Net environment. Why a new architecture? Scalability, better tools and enhanced reporting capabilities plus incorporating the latest database design & web based technologies.  Client workstations are now a simple web based applications.  We've called it Universal Desktop - it's easy to use and hassle free to install.

Universal Desktop, a single entry point for all configuration and reporting needs

The configuration, reporting and profiler modules have been combined into a single application accessible through the Universal Desktop web browser page.  Performing quick changes or printing reports has never been simpler.  Universal Desktop brings together all the tools required to enable you to manage your POS system easily.

Customise your own Universal Desktop

Users can customise their own Universal Desktop providing easy navigation.  Create messages and alerts for all users to view at login. Links to public and private reports can also be displayed on your user specific Universal Desktop front page, providing quick access to important data.

All new and re-designed financial and operational reports

Advanced sorting, filtering and grouping capabilities make finding the information you need easier.  And once you've found it, you can save your custom report and create a convenient link to it for the next time you log into the point-of-sale system.  Even share your custom, organisation-specific reports with others that need the same information by choosing to make your reports either private or public.

All historical sale and operational data is migrated during the upgrade and available for reporting purposes using the new search and filtering capabilities.

 More organisational control

With InfoGenesis Revelation POS 4 you can proactively monitor your point-of-sale system. Know what terminals are connected to the network, track system and user events, and know who's making what configuration changes in your point-of-sale system.  InfoGenesis Revelation POS 4 helps you streamline your operation, increase accountability and reduce potential losses.

The system auditing and electronic journal have also been enhanced to include a powerful search query tool, flexible results panel, plus on-screen filters and sorting with the functionality to drag and drop headers.

Improved screen design tools

Customising your screen layouts is made even easier with the ability to copy multiple buttons between screens.  Additional colour models to choose from will assist in building screens that are intuitive for the end users.

 Support for IP printing

Manage all your remote printing needs using IP addressable printers.  Do away with serial cabling restrictions with the ability to use IP printing across your network.

Minimise training costs

To minimise training costs, we have retained all the legacy modules within the first release of InfoGenesis Revelation POS 4. If a user is unsure of where to make changes in the new Universal Desktop application, they simply make the necessary changes using the existing Configuration and Reporting modules.  Upgrading will prove cost effective and with the legacy modules available, there is no impact on a user's ability to maintain the system.

Compatible with existing interfaces and customer developed reports

Customers that have existing interfaces or customised reporting can relax knowing that all existing interfaces and developed reports will be compatible after upgrading to InfoGenesis Revelation POS 4.
